Powder Coating Jewelry

My newest project is powder coating jewelry parts. I have been wanting to do this for a long time and it's so much fun doing it.

This is also very messy, with colored powder flying around everywhere while I spray the parts. But it's easy to clean up when I am finished.

After spraying the parts that all have to go on seperate hooks, they are baked in an oven for some time and then they are done. The finished jewelry parts are now colored and the surface is non scratchable.. it's really great.

Freshly baked jewelry supplies. Can't say it smells good when I open the oven, because it doesn't. Hot baked metals smell bad, but they look good.

And this is the result.. beautiful powder coated cat earrings.

I spray the different parts using a powder gun - this time using a blue color. I just use a big cardboard box and that works fine.

Then I bake the jewelry parts in an oven which I only use for this purpose.

Result of finished blue findings:

These blue birds can make a beautiful pair of Blue bird earrings
